Corporations, organizations, and individuals are sought as sponsors for a marine archaeological symposium to be held at the Institute of Nautical Archaeology (http://ina.tamu.edu) in College Station, Texas, in Spring 2007. The event marks the anniversary of the first full excavation and publication of an ancient shipwreck – the 7th-century A.D. wreck investigated 40 years ago at Yassiada, Turkey. Scheduled sessions and workshops will address technological and other long-term marine archaeological developments prompted by this landmark excavation.

  • All donated funds are tax-deductible, charitable contributions
  • All donations will be used to support the attendance of an international community of scholars and students at the workshops
  • Sponsors will be acknowledged in the symposium program and at the events, as well as in the publication of the proceedings

Sponsors donating $1000 or more will receive a complimentary copy of the original shipwreck publication, signed by the authors or more information, please contact the symposium organizers at [email protected]
