I have more than 25 years of experience, including 37
patents, with experience in all aspects of technical development and management of
multi-million dollar projects from initial concept development through field installation.
I have a solid working knowledge of the project engineering including vendor and
contractor evaluation and liaison between clients, contractors and vendors.
Specific capabilities include:
- Concept and feasibility studies for systems pertaining to subsea or floating
production systems including the development of new hardware, adaptation of existing
hardware to new applications, and development of procedures for implementation of unique
offshore subsea production systems.
- Field development planning for deepwater marginal fields utilizing subsea and
floating production systems. Establishment and evaluation of candidate scenarios in terms
of cost, schedule, and technical trade-off analysis leading toward definition of a
preferred system. Examination of field installation methodology with emphasis on ROV
intervention and technology.
- Coordination and management of drilling and subsea equipment project interfaces
from conceptual design through equipment testing and installation. Also, coordination of
subsea tree/wellhead and manifold interfaces with deepwater subsea template systems; and
coordination of subsea tree/wellhead interfaces with FPS, pipeline and riser subsystems to
deepwater floating production facilities, and review of ROV intervention requirements.
- Offshore and onshore supervision of subsea hardware deployment including factory
acceptance testing (FAT) and system integration testing (SIT) of subsea trees, manifolds
and templates. Developed test procedures, offshore installation procedures,
recommendations for spares, and follow-up reporting of the installation process. On-site
technical advisory support during offshore installation operations.
- Project management including project team assembly, tracking of budgets and
schedules, client/contractor liaison, review and evaluation of construction bids, periodic
reporting, and engineering supervision.
